Exercises and Workouts - Four Signs Your Workout Program Is Working
Do you ever wonder if you are really making progress with your gym sessions? At times, it can be hard to know for certain because results don't always make themselves known until months into your sessions. During this time, it can be hard to keep going as you might feel like your effort isn't paying off. Fortunately though, if you know what signs to be on the lookout for, you can better decipher when progress is being made.
Let's look at four signs indicating your workout is doing its job so you can feel encouraged to keep up the effort...
1. You're Less Sore Than Before. One sign you are actually becoming fitter is if you find you get less sore after your workout sessions. This may seem like it should be the opposite, after all, many people regard a good workout with muscle soreness.
But, don't be misled. In fact, the better shape you are in, the less soreness will be a problem.
So if you wake up feeling not too bad after a tough session in the gym, know you are improving.

2. You Recover Faster. Another sign you are making progress is if you recover faster overall. When you first started working out, there's a good chance you felt very tired immediately after the workout and this persisted for a few hours.
Now however, you might find you bounce back reasonably quickly. This is progress right here. Just note if you bounce back too quickly, this could also indicate your workout isn't challenging enough, so keep in mind some fatigue should always be there. It shouldn't be as strong as it was when you first started working out however.
3. You're Feeling Comfortable With The Movements. Another sign of improvement? You feel comfortable with the movements you're doing. If you find you can move through each exercise with ease and you don't feel at all awkward, your body is learning the pattern of movements very well.
Often those first few sessions feel very unnatural to you, but with continual gym sessions you get past this. Again, this indicates you're making progress.

4. You're Sweating More. Finally, you would think if you are sweating more, this means you're more out of shape - but the opposite is the case. Sweating is a sign your body is becoming more conditioned and ready to handle the stress of exercise, so it actually indicates improvement is being made.
It may also be indicative of the fact you are working harder now than when you first started, doing more challenging exercises boosting your sweat rate.

So, keep these signs in mind. Don't get discouraged if you see them present - they do illustrate progress is really being made.
Although managing Type 2 diabetes can be very challenging, it is not a condition you must just live with. Make simple changes to your daily routine - include exercise to help lower both your blood sugar levels and your weight.
