P90x Workout Program
The P90X Workout Program is an ambitious schedule not to mention a tough one. It is a 90-day long home exercise program where the person planning to undertake the resume will have to work hard to achieve results. There is a lot of hype in the fitness industry regarding this training program as the program introduced a very new concept in the fitness industry called the 'muscle confusion'. In this the workouts are so planned that the body does not get time to adapt to the exercises and thus do not get any time to adapt or build resistance to the exercise and thus works wonders.
P90X Workout Program is developed by Tony Horton along with the director Mason Bendewalder and the Beach Body. The workout program created waves in the fitness world as it promises to improve the fitness of the individual in 90 days provided you follow their workout schedules and the 3-stage diet plan. The workouts are an excellent mixture of cardio, yoga, plyometrics, stretching and not to forget-strength training. There are 11 DVD that are dedicated to the entire workout set, providing you guidance at every step and the 12th DVD is the Ab Ripper X and the total workout are timed from anything between 16 minutes to one hour. P90X Workout Program is spread over 13 weeks and you need to exercise six days a week to achieve that dream result.
The program is done in rotation and is termed as classic, lean and doubles and all these programs have different purposes and goals and are designed to target specific muscles to achieve specific goals. All the workouts have 10 minutes warm-up sessions and each ends with a cool down session of 3-5 minutes, though the Ab Ripper X is an exception. The P90X Workout Program gives you the details of the day-by-day work out programs that proves to be a boon for majority. However, the downside of the program is that some complain that the exercises are strenuous and becomes a problem mid-way to stick to it.
For the p90x workout program to work and show results, you will need serious commitments from your side and since the schedules are very gruelling and the intensity of the workouts very high, many find it very difficult to stick to it.
Since the workout is spread across six days a week, many people find an excuse to quit midways! There are many who complain of over-training and burn out and do not find enough time for recovery and thus hesitate to go back to the next session.
